ELA 6th - 8th
I am a motivated teaching professional eager to share my love of reading, writing, and speaking through creative and differentiated lessons that engage and empower students. I have a Master of Science degree in Adolescent Special Education, English from Molloy College. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from SUNY Geneseo. This is my eleventh year teaching. My favorite saint is Mother Teresa. She inspires me through her works of mercy. I often pray to Saint Mary, St. Joseph, and St. Michael the Archangel. My favorite prayer is The Memorare. One of my favorite verses is Psalm 147:4. “He counts the stars and calls them all by name.”
I love teaching reading and writing. In my class, I enjoy integrating technology to differentiate instruction based on students’ preferred learning styles. I design creative lessons for 6th, 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts, and 7th grade religion. My goal is to inspire students to pursue academic excellence and to become life-long learners.
I foster a welcoming environment to engage students while meeting their social emotional needs. In my class, I activate a mindset for students to critically examine goals and objectives using rubrics. I encourage students to take ownership of their learning. I believe in the significance of building partnerships with parents through strong communication.
