Welcome to Middle School Religion!
Mrs. Tomasello is excited to be joining the esteemed teaching community at Trinity Regional School teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Religion classes. Mrs. Tomasello earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Old Westbury and her Master of Science degree from CW Post in Elementary Education. She also pursued a post-graduate education in Teaching English as a Second Language. Mrs. Tomasello previously taught 7th and 8th grades at another Catholic school on Long Island, as well as English classes to young adults for over a decade.
6th grade students will dive into the Old Testament to learn how God reveals himself in scripture and tradition. We will understand our role as part of a family, Church, and community, while further developing our relationship with God!
7th grade students will discover the teachings of Jesus Christ through the Christian scriptures, and develop an understanding of stewardship as we deepen our relationship with God.
8th grade students will gain new insight into the history of the Catholic Church. We will learn to appreciate our roles in our Church community, and understand that all people are called to further their relationship with God by living the Good News of the Gospel.
All classes will explore the role, function, and importance of a parish. Each of the six parishes in the Trinity Regional School region will be discussed. Students also will be completing monthly Mass Reflections and service projects throughout the year.
