Dear Trinity Families,
In January, we have always focused on celebrating our Catholic School and our Catholic identity. Trinity Regional School’s Open House was a great success. We had many families attend. During the Open House, our students were flying drones utilizing coding skills they have learned from Trinity’s technology teacher, Mrs. Richardson. Trinity always asks our students to act as tour guides during the open house believing that our students make the best spokespersons for our school. All of the families complimented the thoroughness and enthusiasm of our student tour guides.
On Monday, we started off the week by celebrating Mass honoring Mrs. Milazzo’s 25 years of service to Catholic Education. Our fourth graders coordinated the liturgy for us. Tuesday was well attended by many special people visiting the various classrooms. Wednesday was switch-up day highlighted by our own Mr. Hansen dressing in full Trinity uniform! The students did a remarkable job as teachers in the different grade levels. The week concluded with our STEM Fair. Trinity is so proud of our students. All of these projects required a great deal of planning, hard work and lots of imagination. Congratulations to all.
As we look forward to the next few months, we have many activities and events to look forward to. The space themed Race-to-Read is underway. We encourage all of our students to READ-READ-READ! The top readers in each grade will be recognized. The class name winner will receive an ice cream party. The class submitting the most reading slips in each grade category will be declared a map winner. Map winners will earn a dress down pass! The class which reads the most in the entire school will be awarded the MM Weiss Award with a book given to the library in their name. Don’t forget the pizza and ice cream party.
The candy sale started the first week of February. The Second and Third Graders have their spirit Day on February 7th. That night, HSA is hosting a Paint Night for parents. This year we are adding a new event for Lent. The Trinity Family Ministry team is hosting a Lenten Evening of Reflection for Trinity parents. It will be an evening of guided prayer, live music and reflection to prepare our hearts for Lent. Any student that has a parent or family member in attendance will be given a dress down pass for any non-Mass day. School Stations of the Cross and School Confessions will be a part of our Lenten activities for our students.
Our Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Graders are currently rehearsing for our school play - Seussical, Jr. which will be performed March 19th-21st.
Hopefully this Winter will remain a mild one. Spring will be here before we know it.
