Dear Parents,
We have completed our first three weeks of school and I am so proud of the job that our students, faculty and staff are doing to adjust to this very new and different school year. We are so grateful for your patience and support as we navigated through these last few weeks. It is wonderful to have our halls once again filled with students - it was empty for far too long! Our enrollment is 315 students. Now that the students have returned, our fundraising efforts will resume. The candle sale is underway and HSA is also planning the Harvest Sale at Giacarlo’s location October 1- 4th. Trinity relies on these fundraisers and we thank you in advance for supporting these events.
The temperature taking system and online health screenings are going smoothly. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our students safe and our school open! However, we remind all parents to please keep children home if they are sick. Our new school nurse, Mrs. Sue Lyman is available for questions or concerns about your child’s health. The direct line to the nurse is 631-261-0865 or email slyman9346@trinityregional.org
Additionally, it is imperative that all students maintain and adhere to wearing a face mask. The teachers have been great about getting them outside for instruction and mask breaks throughout the day. We also have to thank our generous parents, alumni parents and grandparents for their contributions to the wonderful wedding-type tents that have been assembled in the yard. These donations are just another witness to the spirit of generosity of our Trinity families.
We are asking our consulting firm about the possibility of resuming our lunch program. I will keep you informed of this in the coming days.
An email was sent last week but please mark your calendars that there is a HALF day on Friday, October 9th for Kindergarten through 8th Grade. This is a professional development day for the teachers. Please note there will be Beforecare and Aftercare on that day.
And finally, I must thank our teachers and staff for rallying to my aid in the reopening and daily duties that they have embraced to make this school year start off smoothly. I especially want to thank our custodian, Patrick Devitt for keeping the building clean for the safety of all of us!
Mrs. Ayers
