Welcome Students!

Welcome Students! This will be an exciting year! We will have a lot of fun learning the Spanish language. I will teach all of the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in my regular classroom. I will continue to teach Spanish for Pre-K to Grade five in my google classroom. We will focus quite a bit on grammar especially in the upper grades. Learning grammar in a foreign language not only gives a student a better understanding of the foreign language, but also reinforces the English language. We will work on pronunciation of various vocabulary words, spelling, writing and reading comprehension and of course building our vocabulary.

In Music, as always we will have a terrific time! We will learn new songs, play handbells, study notation, rhythm, and learn about various composers. It is important for students to study the history of music. Where did music start? How old is music? What other kinds of instruments are there besides the traditional ones that we see and hear daily. These are but a few of the topics that we will cover.
