Technology Pre-k - 8th
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I went to the University of Texas at San Antonio. I studied Interdisciplinary Studies and received my degree in 4th-8th grade General Education. I joined the Trinity family in September 2020. I specialize in teaching math and science, and I am currently teaching computer skills to students in grades PreK-eight. I am also the math support teacher for first through eighth grade.
My favorite book
My Full Moon is Square. It references math arrays for multiplication and tells a cute story of trust and friendship.
My favorite artist
MC Escher. He creates many works using tessellations and mathematical concepts.
This year we will do many things in the Computer Lab. We will do as much as possible without the use of paper and pencils. We will utilize the Google Suite apps and be exposed to and practice many different fun and interesting websites. Some topics we will focus on are basic and advanced typing skills, 3D animations, creating GIFs, creating and collaborating documents, and basic to advanced coding.
Thank you for allowing your child to be in my class. I enjoy teaching and I am willing to do all I can to help your children learn and master computer and typing skills. Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss any concerns. Please check the Google Classroom to see what students are completing and to access several helpful links and resources. I look forward to hearing from you.
Computer Class Mission Statement
The Computer Science classes at Trinity Regional School allow all students to engage in the concepts and practices of computer science. Beginning in the earliest grades and continuing through eighth grade, students will develop a foundation of computer science knowledge and learn new approaches to problem solving that harness the power of computational thinking to become both users and creators of computing technology. By applying computer science as a tool for learning and expression in a variety of disciplines and interests, students will actively participate in a world that is increasingly influenced by technology.
