About Mrs. Kelly

My experience as a teacher has been shaped by many experiences. My passion for the sciences was cultivated by many educational institutions including The College of New Rochelle, St. John's University, and Molloy College and my love of teaching science to children has included 8 years in high school and for the last 19 years in middle school.

Welcome Students!

A special welcome to the 8th grade students to the new school year. This year we will be studying many different topics in Science. As the 8th graders prepare for high school, they will be studying the various topics in Living Environment, the New York State regents course.

Dear Families!

All students can expect to become more independent learners with an emphasis on lab work that supports and reinforces the classroom lessons. They will be doing hands-on lab activities every week in which they will collect data while running lab experiments. They will learn how to analyze this data through graphing and comparing data with other lab teams, using the Math skills learned in that class. 

Google Classroom is a wonderful platform for everyone-teachers, parents, and students. This is where we share assignments, test dates, class notes, and even Mass and class events. Parents, be sure to check Google Classroom for information regarding class assignments and communications from me.
