Computer Class and STEM Class Course Description:
For students to lead productive and successful lives upon graduation, they must understand
and know how to use digital technologies. Technology knowledge and skills are vital for full
participation in 21st Century life, work, and citizenship.
Our goal is that every student will know how to live productively and safely in a technology-
dominated world. This includes understanding the essential features of digital technologies,
why and how they work, and how to communicate and create using those technologies.
This year we will be following The NYS K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards.
These standards are organized into five Concepts: Impacts of Computing, Computational
Thinking, Networks and Systems Design, Cybersecurity, and Digital Literacy.
